Hello everyone, I am srijan. I apologize in advance if the question format is not correct (First-time user). I am a product developer (EEE) and I need to build a mold for my prototype no matter how I slice it, it seems that if I simply subtract the design from a big chunk of metal to create a cavity, it will be impossible for me to pull it out and it will be stuck inside the mold once the Plastic cools.

My ideas are running on fumes now and the internet isn't much help either. please help me. My career just might be saved. thank you, everyone. Lots of Love.

Hi @verma.srijan,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Thank you for the image. From what I see, it does look like a standard 2 piece mold would not release the part. Maybe try with more pieces if that is an option?

All the best,

Hi @verma.srijan

do you have the option to use Inventor or Fusion 360?

maybe it will be more easy to work with your model in those tools
