I am an engineering student and require autocad so I took the autocad student license which is valid for 3 years and have installed autocad mechanical 2016. I followed all the instructions correctly, downloaded all the required files. First i got an error while trying to open the application, saying that the side by side configuration is incorrect. In order to solve this error i tried re-installing the visual c++ components, this didn't work out. Then the error was solved when I installed SP1. Now I have encountered another error , whenever I try to start the application there is an error saying that the application was unable to start correctly (the application was unable to start correctly 0xc00007b).
How do I resolve this and get the software to work correctly? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
P.S.- My operating system is Windows 10 (64-bit)
