Dimensions default to 0

Whenever selecting a line to get a dimension, it shows the correct dimension and then when I select a location, it goes to 0.  Basically, if i select a 72" Horizontal line, drop down a bit and select a spot for the dimension line, it then gives me a VERTICAL 0" dimension along the line.

I've tried typing HOR or VER from former releases and still it puts the dimension parallel with the line, regardless of orientation.

Thanks - I'll try that.  I ended up using a template I had created in 2019 as the base and have had no troubles since then.  i do want an actual fix instead of a work around, though.
