Is there a content library for standard parts and features in AutoCAD Mechanical 2022?

If so, how do I access it?

I don't use the ribbon.

However, when I type in CONTENT at the command prompt, the DesignCentre pops up.

Under en-us dynamic blocks there are just 4 types of metric nut and bolt.

Is this all there is?designcentre.jpg

Hello,

The commands to be used are AMCONTENTMANAGER and AMCONTENTLIB. If it shows Unknown command, it is very likely that you are using the AutoCAD Profile.

From the start menu, you can start the "AutoCAD Mechanical 2022" instead of "AutoCAD 2022".

There you will be able to see all the Content for Mechanical Standards.

Hope this helps.

Hi Gaurav. I am launching Mechanical 2022.

I think something must have got lost when I migrated my settings from a previous version.

Ok. Did you try to reset the settings to default? You can also backup the settings when performing a Reset.

If done already, Did it work after that?

I don't particularly want to reset the settings to default as it takes a while to get the custom add-on software up and running. I may give it a go when I have some quiet time, or maybe just leave it alone as it's not affecting my productivity in anyway.

Check OPTIONS then goto profile. What are you using? Mine has 2.... ACADMPP and VANILLA.... mine is set to the 1st. Hope that helps.

Hi Steve. Thanks for the suggestion.

Mine is also set to ACADMPP, so it's not that.

If I have understood correctly, you have imported your modified "ACADMPP" profile from an older version of AutoCAD Mechanical to AutoCAD Mechanical 2022 ?

To check if your AutoCAD Mechanical 2022 is correctly installed and only your imported profile makes trouble, I can send you a "renamed" ACADMPP.arg file. Then you can use this to test if everything is working.

Should we try this ?

Okay, here a renamed original ACADMPP profile from AutoCAD Mechanical 2022 English.

Just unzip, store on your local hard drive, copy an existing AutoCAD Mechanical shortcut and modify:

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2022\acad.exe" /p "C:\Temp\AcadMPP-AcadM2022-Enu.arg" /product ACADM /language "en-US"

AcadM2022StartProfile.png

It is important, that you start AutoCAD Mechanical with this profile. It is not the same if you start AutoCAD with another profile and switch the profile in AutoCAD !

regards

That works. So there must be something wrong with my ACADMPP file.

I'll look into it.

Thanks for your help.
