ARRAY ribbon button does not show preview

Hello,
sorry for my bad english.
I have a problem with array's command in Mechanical 2016.
I select the command from toolsbar then I select object to multiply. In the past a preview of the array was displayed but now no.
If I drag a grip (mouse click),  the preview work but after my confirmation (click) the preview disappear. At the end when I confirm varius options, array don't appear and autocad delete also first object selected.

if I cancel the command, the initial object is also deleted.

If I switch in Autocad "Structure" instead "Mechanical" and use array classical, that work well.
I tried to re-install Autocad but nothing changed.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Hello @mauro.lepore,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD Mechanical forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

You did a great job of describing your issue! I believe two buttons you are using in the Mechanical workspace Ribbon and the Structure workspace Ribbon are different even though the icons are the same.

If you hover over the command in the Mechanical workspace Ribbon (or click the drop down next to it) you will see the button initiates 1 of 3 different Array commands. If you simply click on the button, most likely the command is ARRAYRECT, while in the Structure workspace the button is only for the ARRAYCLASSIC command.

While ARRAYCLASSIC is not in the Mechanical Ribbon as installed, it can be added. See the following Autodesk Knowledge Network (AKN) article:

Adding new toolbar buttons | AutoCAD

The path for the Array drop down in the Mechanical Ribbon is Ribbons > Panels > Home Modify > Row 1 Sub-Panel 3 > Row 1 > Array

Add buttons to Ribbon.JPG

Please let me know if this helps.

All the best,
