Reading/displaying all shapefile fields in Map

I think it would be beneficial if Map could read all fields within a shapefile.

We have a shapefile that is used to submit to a regulator that has a field named 'SAHPE*' that describes the file's geometry (polygon for my application). It shows in ArcMap but not Map.

I tried adding new within Map using the Schema editor but it disappear.

I believe the regulator does an automated check for specified fields and it will be there but that still doesn't explain why Map won't show it (????).

The ShapeFile you attached contains no records, and only defines four fields:

Unique_ID   ID   Shape_Leng   Shape_Area

You can see this for yourself by drag /drop of the .DBF file into Excel.

Thanks for looking into this Terry.

I have attached two screenshots of the shapefile I originally uploaded as a .zip.

One shows the table from ArcMap 10.2 and the other shows the table from Autodesk Autocad Map 3D 2021.

Do you see the discrepancies?
