Unable to MAPIINSERT a ECW image in Autocad map 2011

Hi,

I have a ecw image with it's supporting files. I am unable to MAPIINSERT it in autocad map 2011. It says "... was not found or not valid".

However, I can MAPIINSERT it in higher versions, for example in AutoCAD map 2015 and 2017.

I have already installed both the updates available for Autocad map 2011, but the porblem is not solved.

Any solution for this issue will be highly appreciated.

Hi Rajesh,

technically you could add image to Map suing FDO Raster provider. But then you cant excahnge drawing with plain AutoCAD users. Also performance is not good for rasters (mapiinsert is much faster).

You could try to open ECW file and save it as ECW again. Maybe that will fix the issue for Map 2011,

Finally i got a solution.

I installed an object enabler for raster design and now AutoCAD Map 2011 works fine for MAPIINSERT an ECW file.
