System freezes with AutoCAD Map 3D

I am looking for suggestions as to why my laptop is not performing. I am using Dell Precision m6800 Intel Core i7 with Windows 7 Pro 64bit running AutoCAD Map 3D 2015 with Carlson Suite using NVidia Quadro 4100m video card / 16 gb ram using AutoCAD the software constantly hangs up, freezes, and occasionally crashes. I even one got the blue screen of death. I have updated the video drivers; uninstalled and reinstalled the intel and amd and nvidias latest drivers, I have even tried disabling the video switching in the bios. The disabling the video switching worked but it caused the xref manager and layer managers to become disabled as well. Other than that it was great - unfortunately i had to turn it back on to continue working. Now i am back to freezing up again every couple of key strokes. I have also tried running every type of system diagnostic tool from the bios to Dell - all shows to be in great working order. I'm stumped on this one - can anyone shed some light? Thanks, Lori

blue screens are not Autodesk related this is a hardware or driver issue

did you capture the blue screen error code and send it to Dell Support?

The blue screen was a one time thing - said it was dumping but it didn't.  I have run a system scan from the bios, a dell scan from their website to check and all came back clean and operational.  This system should be adequate to run this however, seems to be struggling.  I finally went in to the config file and disabled some monitoring programs on the startup - so far so good.  Still has intermittent freezing and fan running but not near as bad as it was.  I realize also that the network communication/monitoring that CAD does in the background may be some of it as well?
