Report Designer Printer settings

Hello,

do you know if there are some printer settings within the Report Designer of Infrastructure Administrator?

I see the print/HTML/Text/PDF Button but I do not see where I can change settings like

• select a new PDF Printer
• select another printer than the Windows standard printer
• Choose if the print is colored or black/white

Do you know where and if I can configure these things in the background somewhere?

Hi Peter,

I think these bits are missing. I guess Map has its internal PDF library - and the report engines uses just that.

I wasn't aware that there is an issue with printing colours - at least when printing to PDF I would have assumed it is printed with colours?

We have a few (simple) Map based reports, the more complicated ones have been implemented with CR and are run through web based GIS.

No, there is no problem with printing colors. I just hoped that I would like to configure general printing options like

• select the printer
• select if black/white or colored
• ...

Do you know how I can find out if there is an internal PDF Library?

Hi Peter,

I looked at the Map IM API docs and did not see any PDF related classes.

So it doesn't seem to be exposed.
