Raster Tools Tab missing in Autocad Map 3D 2015 ???

Hi all,

Noticed that the Raster Tools tab is missing in Autocad Map 3D 2015. Looked up on the internet for fixes, basically tried the following links:

http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Where-i...

http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/AutoCAD...

So far, no luck.

Tried to browse through other files in the c-drive, in the Autodesk folder, then found an "AecCo.cuix file in AutoCAD 2015 and Raster Design 2015. Loaded this up in Map 3D, tab had appeared, displays the icons for commands, but they are all duds, invalid commands.

Please help.

There are a few things you could try:

  • Repair the install of Raster Design
  • Repair the install of AutoCAD Map 3D
  • Ensure that the Raster Design you installed is in the same bit-ness as AutoCAD Map 3D (both 64bit or both 32bit)
  • Completely uninstall and reinstall both (this is a huge step and only if you are desparate)

Hi,

After loading the AecCo.cuix file from the Raster Design folder, you may also need to add the Raster Design Support File Search Path to Map 3D as described in this article:

"Unknown command" when running Raster Design functions

Let us know if this helps.

Thanks!

Hey guys,

I have managed to fix this issue. Basicallay I reinstalled Raster Design, now both Civil 3D and Map 3D have picked up the pressence of Raster Design showing up in both products.

The issue was that both products were not picking up the pressence of Raster Design being installed, therefore not showing up as a tab along the ribbon, and when you type in the command CUILOAD, raster design was not listed, click browse and there was no AecCo.cuix present in the support folder.

After reinstalling Raster Desing, type command CUILOAD, AUTOCADRASTERDESIGN is present and the AecCo.cuix files are in both Civil 3D and Map 3D support folders.

Thank you guys for your help and suggestions.

Hope this helps other users.
