Parcel Closure

I know this isn't directly related to maps but I figured you guys deal parcels the most. I am on A-CAD 3D 2022, I recently tried to drawn a boundary survey, as like most boundaries it didn't close perfectly, I had .4 extra to the north and 2' to the west, so they overlapped one another. When I went to create the parcel for the property it closed by itself, it didn't include any of the overlap or give any indication it was there. I tried running a report and there was no data that identified the overlap. I have talked to older CAD users and they said they have never encountered this problem. Any response is appreciated.

So the parcel closed by itself. Sorry but that's kinda vague. Can you fill us in so we get a clearer picture of how and /or why that happened?

What command (or procedure) did you use to 'draw' the parcels? It would be great if you could upload a screen shot of the command button on your ribbon. Or better yet, upload a video demonstrating the closed-by-itself behavior.

Aslo, what was your source for the parcels lines? Metes and bounds (distances and bearings)?
