Map 6 cogo

The help files seem to indicate cogo input can be used when constructing
polylines and arcs. This does not work for me. I can only construct lines.
Anyone have the same problem or solution?

Hello james,

Enter pline on the command line and draw a pline. Then type one of the COGO
commands, such as, 'ad. Hit enter. Select your angle and distance and then
draw another pline, selecting another of the COGO commands if you want to
draw via geometry, etc.

I hope this helps.

No help. This does not work. Here's the result from the command line;
------------------
Command: pline

Specify start point:
Current line-width is 0.0000
Specify next point or [Arc/Halfwidth/Length/Undo/Width]:
Specify next point or [Arc/Close/Halfwidth/Length/Undo/Width]: 'ad

Enter angle:
Specify distance:
"@80.711706<342.8087052495,0.000000"

2D point or option keyword required.

Specify next point or [Arc/Close/Halfwidth/Length/Undo/Width]:
----------------------
Apparently the COGO input passes a Z coord to the pline and arc commands,
which they will not accept.

James,

You've got something odd going on with your version of Map. These commands
definitely work on the 3 computers that I've tried with the COGO Commands.
Do you have some other software or program runnning with Map that could be
appending the ,0.0 on the end?

Try going to the COGO setup command (MAPCGSETUP) and disable the option for
3D input. It didn't change the things work on my computer, but it might help
you. If that doesn't help, you need to do some detective work on your PC.

Cheers,
David
