Map 3D 2006 incompatible with Windows 7 pro

After installing Autodesk Map 3D 2006 on a new Dell Precision 5510 Windows 7 Pro laptop, I can't run it. I get an error that says the program is incompatible with this operating system. There is another Win 7 Pro laptop in the office that is running it ok. Any tips?

I bet on that laptop Map2006's working within a virtual machine, so try the same way on your computer.

Right-click the desktop icon for your Map3D-start ==> properties. Within that dialog change to tab "compatibility" and try different older releases of Windows ... also make that tests with admin-permissions, because it could be an issue of permissions too.

Hi,

Map 2006 is based on .Net Framework 1.1 which is not part of Windows 7.

Verify on your working PC if it is installed.
