M3d Layer > Show Data Table > (right click top left button) > Select All

A 5 minute hang occurs when performing the title task.  There is a message during the hang that reads 'Setting Pickfirst Selection'.  The same hang occurs during closing of the Data Table.  I have about 10,000 features. 

When selecting the entire data table, I can see in the background that it is slowly selecting each feature, one by one throughout the drawing.  It seems if I could turn that selector off things would move along much faster. 

Any ideas?

Why do you need to Select All? 

There’s a reason why selected rows in the table will highlight corresponding entities in modelspace. Are you implying your reason for selecting all rows is entirely different and that reason should not involve a 5 minute delay?

Agreed, the delay can be eliminated by temporarily disassociating the database from the vectors but doing so may not be in the best interest if your workflow. 

Out curiosity, what’s your motive to select all records in the database?
