Issues with OLE (excel) links

I copied a range in my excel spreadsheet and pasted it as special (excel link) into each sheet. Works great. But randomly, when I open the file again, the OLE graphics have changed size, and moved on the page. The link is still active, but what is making them resize themselves?

If you work in a group, be aware that Excel will resize the contents of a spreadsheet based on the Windows scaling parameters, such as 100%, 150%, etc.  If someone else on the network opened the spreadsheet and/or the drawing and their scaling varies from yours, that may be the cause.

That said, I would use a crayon before I would use OLE.
