Insert a Tile Layers from ArcGis Online

I have a subscription to ArcGis Online and am using the ArcGis for Autocad add-in to insert feature layers.  I would also like to "insert" or view as a background a Tile Layer.  Is this possible?  Thanks.

Hi @KarlHanson

Download and install ArcGIS for AutoCAD?

Note:

Depending on the type of map you are building, you may also benefit from adding data directly, e.g. as a Feature Data Object (FDO), i.,e., raster, shapefile, Gdb, WMS, etc., etc.

You can use Data Connect palette (MAPCONNECT) and the map task pane (MAPWSPACE=>select ON).

@KarlHanson

Don't know if this will help.....

Go to the ArcGIS Tab, then try connecting to the Living Atlas like this:

Notes:

  1. ArcGIS for AutoCAD will wants tp know your projection (coordinate system). Even though you've already assigned a CoordSys in Map3D, do it again cuz ArcGIS can't read Map3D's projection.. (Refer to red arrow.)
  2. You may also SIGN IN if you have an ESRI Enterprise Account with your employer.
  3. The ArcGIS tab also has ESRI basemaps. You don't need an ESRI account to connect to a basemap.
  4. You may also want to 'define' your project area with a rectangle. It will prevent 'zoom' extents......especially when you're only concentrating on a small project area.
  5. You should also click the CONTENTS button to bring up the contents palette. It will display ArcGIS connections.
