I have been trying to import MIF files and I want to keep the original layer names.
I exported the original dwg files correctly as I have done sample checks.
Now the problem is when I pick up the first mif file I make the changes I need and save the settings file .IPF.
The problem is this ipf file is only specific to the file used to create it, when used with another .mif file it reverts back to its standard configuration and imports the next file using the file name as the layername and not the original layers within the file.
If I only had half a dozen files to do that would be fine but unfortunately I have 11,317 files to import, I am more than capable to write a script file to run overnight so no problem there.
How to i get a single .ipf file to work with multiple files of different names.
For me from file IPF a layer is determined only of the same name with MIF.
...11,317 files to import...
It can be then to go another way? To rename MIF files for necessary layers?
Or, just move the imported data in the correct layer?
Each mif file has several layers so not really a solution.
I need to import all the layer names from each .mif file
Some mif files have 6 layers some will have more depending on the complexity of the drawing.
Without examples it is difficult to understand that is and that is necessary.
