IMPORT themes to other maps / HELP

i found myself into a problem

im working with Autocad 3D Maps and AIMS 2016 and i have a whole map of my current city, i need to divide that map into almost 500 pieces

im connected to a MySQL database using ODBC, since i need to divide that map into a lot of pieces i cant apply themes to each piece once divided (i mean i can but its a lot of work), is there any way to apply themes to different maps with the same theme?

its a lot of work to apply 10 themes to each little map, just imagine applying 10 same themes to 500 maps, one by one

im just asking if there is any easy way to do this, i repeat, im working with 1 single shape (SHP) that has the whole city, i need to divide that map into 500 pieces and of course, apply themes/styles to each piece

edit: for example, is there a way to ONLY publish to AIMS a selected area of your map on autocad 3d map? or to import same themes to other maps?

have *.layer files been considered or map books?

the problem is that our shape map has data tables on it, we use them to create joins with the odbc mysql, as far as i know, sadly you cant do that with .layer or map books

I'm not sure if I have understood you correctly.

You want to divide the map into 500 smaller maps?

Why? Can you explain?  What is the purpose? How do you want/need to use these small maps later?

With .Layer files you can split up your large map into smaller pieces (no matter if you use joins).

i need to divide the map in smaller pieces because my city has 500 "sections", every sections has a leader, and every section contains important information that other sections leaders can not see, since its private for each leader section

so i have to restrict, and i cant find a way to do this easily 😕

can you tell me how to do this with .layers? i want to apply the style just once, if i divide the map in 500 smaller pieaces i have to theme/style every single small piece one by one, and upload it to AIMS 2016

does each record in the datbase have a field identifying which of the 500 parts the records relates to?

perhaps you can share the field name row of the table?
