Hatch Transparency not affected in ViewPort Transparancy (Layer Properties)

I've been having issues with Viewport Transparency not working when trying to edit in the layer properties tool. It seems to work and change the transparency of everything but hatched areas. I have tried all the solutions and looked everywhere for help. I don't know what else to try. All I want to do is lighten certain aspects in the layout (viewport) but its not working!

Solutions I've tried:

TRANSPARENCYDISPLAY: Set to 1 currently, tried changing to 0 and back to 1 with no luck.

Plot Transparency is ticked in Page Setup Manager

See images below. You can see that it changes the transparency for the linework just not hatching and I think this does this for an general hatching changes in the layout properties tool VP or not.

TIA

Two things you can try:

Make sure the tranparency setting in the Properties Palette is not over riding the transparcy setting in the Layer Properties Manager (similar to how a color 'over ride' in the Properites Palette will over ride the color established in the Layer Prop Mgr).

Perform an experiment by putting some colored objects partly underneath the hatch you are questioning and partly exposed. If transparency is not working, then the objects partly underneath will be hidden while the parts exposed will remain viewable.

You can also turn on Bing Aerial imagery to test your hatch transparency. If transparency is working, then the hatch will be see-through. If it isn't, then it will hide what's underneath.

@Anonymous  did you ever find a resolution to this. I am having the same issue in Civil 3D 2023.

I experienced a very similar problem. Like OP, TRANSPARENCYDISPLAY was set correctly to 1 & the Plot Transparency is ticked in Page Setup Manager.

My solution was (while selecting the hatch in question) switching the Hatch Transparency mode to 'ByLayer Transparency'. It was previously set at 'Transparency Value', which is where the problem came from.

I attached a image to help find this setting.

Hi @shapleigh_miles

Your uploaded image indicates you are controlling transparency in the Ribbon. You need to determine whether the Ribbon transparency is being over written, because if it is, then the Ribbon’s transparency is ineffective.

Select the hatch, then with the hatch still selected, take a screenshot of both the hatch and the Properties Palette. Upload the screenshot for analysis.
