Hi,

When opening an Application, AutoTURN, in AutoCAD Map 3D 2018, this file message appear. Could this be a failure who occured in the installation of AutoCAD?

the crash could have log of different causes from graphical card driver to data or program.

I understand starting AutoCAD Map 3D without Application will not have the crash, therefore I would go ahead and additional contact the Application support too. They might have already more details.

If it is possible to send an Error Report to Autodesk please let me know which email address is used and I can search for the report to hopefully get further details.

Please also check that AutoCAD Map 3D has installed latest updates for AutoCAD AND AutoCAD Map.

With command _ABOUT check the current version, it should have the following version numbers:

Hi and thanks for quick response.
It turns out that the same error message occurs when trying to open AutoCAD alone.
An error report has just been sent by email [email protected]. Then you might get som further details to find a solution.

thank you for sending the error report.

Unfortunately there is no clear feedback what cause Map to crash.

One idea might be the HD graphical card, can you please run command 3DCONFIG and disable the hardware acceleration for a test.

Do we have the crash also with an empty new DWG created from template?

I can´t see if both updates from Map / Acad are installed - can you please give a short feedback on that?

Hi again

I can't run the commando 3Dconfig because AutoCAD crash when I start the program.
Can’t either find the update version since the check depend that AutoCAD is open.
Likewise I can’t open a new DWG because of this same issue.

thanks for the feedback.

Just to do a short sum:

• We have AutoCAD Map 3D 2018
• All Updates for Map and ACAD are installed
• The program crash immediately with startup

This sounds more like the installation itself is damaged.

Next suggestion is to repair the installation in control panel and if that not help go ahead and do clean installation.
