Export multiple styles (created from thematic rules) to AutoCAD blocks

Hi,

I've created multiple thematic rules with each a different style and I was wondering if it's possible to export them as blocks (with the same styles) in plain AutoCAD.

The data came from a SHP data connection.

I've try the "Save as AutoCAD drawing..." but they are all exploded.

Thank you

That is what that command option is designed to do, dumb down your file aka explode everything, for general CAD use like in AutoCAD.

Looks like you are hoping to export features not found (or handled) in plain AutoCAD: may I ask why?

Hi,

In the wizard for export, you need to check first option to keep block into block.

In my french language it's "Modifiable"

If you check 2nd option as "visuel" all elements are exploded. This option can be considered as "Plot to DWG" to keep exact visual render.

Merci Olivier!

Hi @Simon_Thouin-Verdun , you can also ask your AutoCAD questions (all verticals) on our French AutoCAD forum: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-tous-produits-francais/bd-p/127

Hello,

Personally, I don't use the ribbon very much. I always export from the task pane using the map icon.

Hi Olivier,
I'm trying to follow along and learn something. Where is the "Wizard for Export"? How do you get to the Screen Shot shown in your Message #3?

You can access the wizard by using the MAPTOACAD command.

Simon,
Thank you. I learned something new. I just now tried this using Olivier's method and it works very well.
