Running Map 3D 2016

I need to create accurate sun shaded renderings to supply to state government departments.

The model is geographically located correctly (in Australia) with Units in metres and to correct levels.

When I render, the image is extremely distorted. (see pic.)

If I move the model closer to 0,0 rendering is fine (but shading is not accurate)

If I scale the model x 1000, rendering is fine.

But I need to keep units in metres as other surveyed info is being imported and updated continuously.

I have not noticed this problem in prev. releases

I have same problem in 3D Max.

Any fix ideas, could there be a accuracy slider bar setting to overcome this problem?

Regards

Mark

Hello

Just a quick idea...

Please try with RENDERENGINE = 0

Hello

1) NO File attached !

2) With RENDERENGINE = 0 (Not available in 2017/2018) ACAD 2016 switches back

to the OLD Render Engine (IDEM: 2015/2014/2013/etc)

3) So in theory, the result would be the same with 2015/2014/2013/etc ...

4) I have heard that sometimes with high resolution textures, the 2016/2017/2018 can have some strange problems ! ... Especially when FAR from Zero, Zero ... Maybe a problem of huge Coords and/or something linked to the scale of the texture related to the scale of the 3D Models !?

Sorry, Regards, Patrice

Thanks Patrice

Sorry about attached file not being there. (I replied using Outlook and it did not come through)

The render output using RENDERENGINE=0       is black (no image)

There are no textures attached to any surfaces

I feel the distance from 0,0 is the likely problem.
