Dissolve Pseudo Nodes according Object data field

Hi,

I'm trying to use MAPCLEAN and Dissolve Pseudo Nodes but I'd like Map takes into account a value of objet data field.

For example, I've 3 polylines with Object data (table ROAD, field NAME)

I'd like to join red and green because they have same value for field Name, but I don't want to merge with blue part, because it isn't same value for field NAME

Is there an option or a proccess to realize this juntion?

Why do you need to dissolve that node?

Based on your description, you can do it by selecting the red and green lines individually. If you only select the red and green then you'll will exclude the blue line during the operation.

If that doesn't give you what you want, then you need to provide a more detailed explanation.

It's a solution, but I'm working on a large portion of country. I've about 5000 polylines and 300 road names.

So if I can found an automatic solution it's a bit more quick to do all my work.

I could transfer road name as layer, with MAPCLEAN I can select more that 1 layer, but all entities are considered as 1 selection, and dissolve doesn't take care of layers.

Native CAD command OVERKILL can take care of layers but it doesn't keep OD.

Working above my pay grade here but maybe

attach your dwg and define LOCATION  ALL  Alter property LAYER to your OD Field NAME and execute draw and save.

The new dwg will have all the roads on layers by NAME if it works right.  like 300 lyers?

There are several lsp available the join line with common attributes such as NAME which seem to loop through each layer and join and move to the next, etc

Yes it's possible to do this job, but not all cases are OK.

I'm just asking if there is a native command to do that.

ODOUT & ODIN could be a good solution provide that new joined object keep it's Handle.

So I've tested on a little file : 8 polylines drawned from left to right, and 8 ther drawn in reverse side. I affect a linetype to view drawing direction.

I Copy these 16 polylines in different directions to see effect on algorithm. Then I use MAPCLEAN (to dissolve) and OVERKILL to join.

Behaviour is really amazing.

With MAPCLEAN, direction of new polyline are surprising, not depening on direction of each base polyline. I haven't found any logic.

With OVERKILL, some polyline are joined as polyline keeping Handle of 1st one. And sometimes command creates line with new handle.

And if you UNDO overkill command, each polyline receives a third point corresponding of 1st. You can't go back to you original file.
