Dialog box for attach detach object data is not appearing. have checked system variables all are ok. It only comes on the comand line.

As mentioned have done all permutation and combination with system variables still the error/problem is still there

did you go to regedit dialog box to kill the key AutoCAD dialog extension as in the message 3 from link ?

then re-run your laptop ?

Sorry not yet , as i am not very sure about this as all the other dialog boxes are working its only with "Attach/Detach object data " the problem exists. So before i do that i just want to know if there are any other options like may be some support file extension. But if there is nothing i would do as mentioned in your solution. Thank you

You could try mapclean command for example to show up if another dialog desappears ....

Thank you will try that and let you know. However, it was working on a friends computer so i got my file done there. Strangely its not working any any of work systems. I have asked IT to check maybe some of our own setting are causing the error, hopefully they will come up with some solutions.

Have you defined an Object Data Table?

What happens if go to Map Setup Tab=>Attribute Data Panel=>Define Object Data icon. See Image-1.

Next, in the Define Object Data dialog window, click the TABLE dropdown. See image-2.

If you have defined an Object Data Table, it will appear in the Table dropdown. If you do NOT have a table defined, then clicking Attach/Detach Object Data icon work. 

Steps:

1. Define your OD Table first. Map Setup Tab=>Attribute Data Panel=>Define Object Data Icon=>Name your Table=>Add fields to the Table
2. Once it's defined, you may attach the Table to objects in your drawing. Create Tab=>Drawing Object Panel=>Attach/Detach Object Data Icon.
3. When your Table is attached, you may enter data by clicking an object then entering data at the bottom of the Properties Palette.
