Define/Modify Drawing Set Dialogue Box Does Not Appear

When I try to insert GIS data with Define/Modify Drawing Set, no dialogue box appears. This appears instead:

The command line becomes "ADEDRAWINGS". I have tried changing the setting of the FILEDIA command. I've used Alt + Space + M. I've rebooted the program and the computer. The map paths I've seen that are required to get GIS data is also already in my options.

Sometimes resetting the settings helps, sometimes it doesn't. I really need help with this- it's happening at work, no one knows what to do to fix it, and I am starting to look really incompetent. Please help.

try "CMDDIA"  = 1.  IIRC that is short for command dialog.

Thanks for the tip, but I've tried that. Tried all the DIA commands and setting them (or just CMDDIA) to 1 didn't fix it.

Hi Lisa,
Have you tried turning off Dynamic Input? [F12]

Hi @lbarfield3Z22N

What kind of DATA are you trying to add?

Shape, Gdb, Raster, Oracle, SQL? Something else?

Can you post a screenshot of showing the button/icon you're pressing for Define/Modify?

Are you trying to attach data by using the Map Task Pane (Map Explorer Tab)?

Why don't you use the Data Connect Palette?

You can use MAPCONNECT to add and modify data.
