Hi,
A colleague of mine is currently working on making an inventory of a huge collaboration. To do this she added object data to existing elements in the .dwg (through _ADEDEFDATA and _ADEATTACHDATA)
But now she wants to run a _DATAEXTRACTION to an .xls file. She is however unable to include the OD in the data extraction.
Is this a simple error, is it normal that object data is omitted from a data extraction or are we overlooking a simple part of the dataextraction dialogue box?
We are both using Autocad Map 3D 2017.
Thank you very much.

Data Extraction is a Base AutoCAD function and will not see OD. Your best option is to follow >>THIS<< guideline.

Another option: _MAPEXPORT in mif/mid.
mid is a text file into which the contents of OD will be unloaded. The field values in it are separated by commas, and such a file can be downloaded, for example, into Excel or the like.
Better option
select all those objects and export to a .sdf file, put the sdf into a map and open the data table; select all the records and export to a .csv file to open in excel or a database
add a new object to the sdf file and put the data into the data table and check in export when you need the data in the .csv format again
next time build a new sdf file and work directly with map features instead of the cad objects
