convert dwg to pdf

I am using Map 3d 2010 and need to convert a large number of 2d line drawings to pdf.
They need to be high quality. What is the best software for this?
Details are lost because the lines merge on the pdf when I use the plot command.

Use the DWG to PDF plotter pc3. You can change the settings by clicking on
the property button for it then change the custom properties, up the
resolutions for both Vector and Raster objects.

If you print on standard paper sizes like A4 or A3 Cute PDF handles the coversion pretty well, you can can also change DPI resolution.

Here's the result I usually get (attached to this email)...it doesn't matter what resolution I select under Custom Properties or whether I plot or publish. I see a change in file size but the output still looks the same.
It happened on my last computer using MAP 2009 and I believe the earlier 2008 as well.

What could I be doing wrong since others seem to have little to no problems?
