Hi,

We have a problem with Autocad Map 2017 when we want to import an ecw raster file with the command _mapiinsert : when we select the file the software block and nothing happen and we need to close it. This problem doesn't appear when we work on a new file with no objects. We reproduce this bug on all the computers with this version. Any ideas to solved it ?

Hi @aurelien_leroy,
What size is the ECW? Have you tried Raster Design IINSERT Command? Or MAPCONNECT?

The size of the ecw file is 18Gb.We don't have raster design but i tested with map connect and it works ! For the command mapiinsert there is no patch to fix this bug ?

Thanks a lot

@aurelien_leroy,
18GB?! Wow! That's probably the reason you're having trouble. Have you tried letting it go overnight. An image that size might take hours to load.
It used to be there was an image size limit of 4GB. I don't know if that's still true.

It is an ecw file with a pyramidal loading, i load instantanently this raster in a new dwg file in Map 2017 (or in global mapper for example) so i guess it is not the origin of the problem
