Attaching URLs to Survey data points

Hello,

I'm trying to attach the file paths of many photos corresponding to many survey points, i.e. I have pictures taken at survey locations, and want to view them via hyperlink from survey data points. The data points were imported via ascii file into a survey data store.

So far I only had consistant luck in attaching a single URL to ALL the survey data points. That is, when I run -HYPERLINK, OR ATTACHURL the hyperlink works as expected (when ctl + clicked, an image appears in my image viewing program), however, this hyperlink is now attached to every point in my survey data store. When I try to attach a new URL to a different point, it sometimes will change all points to the new one, or just the indicated point. The behaviour is seemingly random, and unrepeatable.

With this odd behaviour, I tried instead using the "Area" feature (instead of "Object"), I was able to successfully attach unique links to red boxes outlining each point. This is not an ideal solution.

Given this, my question is: How would I be able to attach URLs of unique pictures to individual survey data points? Is there any attribute of points imported via survey data stores which would cause such behaviour?

I am running AutoCAD Map3D 2016 on Windows 7.

Thank you for your time.

Are those images geotagged, i.e. do they embed an Exif with lat/long coords..?

Are you sure you want it done in Autocad?

What about converting your bunch of geo-photos in one beautiful KML..?

It is an option, but since Map3D claims to have the functionality, I'd prefer to access all of my data from one program.
