Assigning global coordinates - Australia

Good morning community,

Hope you are well.


I advise that I have been trying to assign the below coordinates to my drawing however, I have not been able to match the exact coordinates from the library.    Could you please advise if there has been any change to the coordinates or how can these details be added to the library.     I have checked the details on each within the library and I cannot find a match for TPNI-LM-94-CM

Hi Sally,
The only CM-unit coordinate system I see in MAPCSLIBRARY is XY-CM, which of course is not at all what you want.
You can use MAPCSCREATE to create a custom coordinate system. A nice wizard walks you through. Your parameters look do-able, but the large false eastings and northings, and most especially the CM units, might be awkward in Civil 3D/Map 3D. Both prefer either Feet or Meters.

Australian projections using Lambert Conic Conformal (LCC) are typically in zones with units of meters.

 

Your project is using cm, not meters, and it doesn’t mention any zones. So weird.
