align objects in a straight row

Hello,

I have a row of individual squares that I am trying to put in a strait line so it pretty much looks as straight as a linear array. I've tried 'ALIGN' but seems to work only on lining up objects for merging together. what command can I use to do this? I tried the ALIGNIT .LISP file, but it doesn't seem to work on map 3D 2017. any other tools available?

D,

Are we talking Map Features or AutoCAD objects?

If you're talking about AutoCAD objects, one way is to select 'em all and change the "X" value in properties.

D,

Oh, and then there's the CHANGE command. Lynn Allen shows how here:

Hi Dave,

I fear none of your 2 tips will fit to the OP request.

I'm not aware of a way that line could "attract" the rectangles as a magnet...

parkr4st,

Ha! it's a never ending struggle. We got the map created and are able to use it in our GPS tracking tool, now its just a matter of making it prettier. It turns out that the ALIGHNIT LISP file actually works. My objects had to be blocks for it to function properly here's where the LISP file can be found:

the solution was provided on this forum here:

Um... If boxes - blocks, and the basic line vertical, then is possible without programs - to select all boxes, and to set them identical X from the basic line.
