Turn Off or toggle viewport auto-centering

Hello,

With the new Autocad (2022) our office made a nice upgrade. When working in the paper-space layout, the contents within viewports keep auto-aligning and centering to the new vieport borders. This is nice when changing scales, but when trying to format a layout (multiple viewports that I need to have a common reference point for) it gets pretty annoying.

Is there a toggle or a variable I can turn off or on?

Can you elaborate with screenshots or a video?

Also... have you installed the 2022.1.2 Update yet? ABOUT command will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards.

Do you have UCSFOLLOW variable turned on in tat viewport? usage is explained in HELP.

UCSFOLLOW = 0 in both paperspace and within viewport. (In my experience this usually Zooms Extents within the whole viewport anyway.)

Can you share your DWG file? I am unable to replicate that over here in AutoCAD/LT2022 over here.

I just figured something out - when the viewport is created as Rectangular,
it behaves as expected. When it's created as Polygonal, it keeps centering.

So it seems I found a workaround for this. The question still remains,
however, how to toggle the auto-centering behaviour or if it's even
possible.

EDIT: And also, it only happens when the polyline has a rectangular outline with 4 vertices :)) this looks like an edge case

Hmm, not able to replicate that here either.
