I am Trying to create a pdf from cad file.
I have a dxf file on my desktop, i right click, click on "convert to adobe pdf" .... and nothing happens.
Is the file going somewhere I cant find? Not converted?
A DXF file is not strictly a cad file, It's a text file containing a set of instructions telling Autocad what to do.
Try opening it up in any text editor and you'll see what I mean.
Saying that, it could be a binary DXF file, which your PDF creator cannot read.

Just so you know, what you did is an ADOBE feature of an ADOBE program yuou have installed, it's got nothing to do with AutoCAd/LT/Autodesk software.
Your final solution is the correct process, always: open the DXF file in AutoCAD first, then create the PDF.
