Transport Layer Security Updates Required | Email Notifications

Autodesk has released a Licensing and Identity update to "Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.0/1.1 addressing vulnerability to data exchange compromise. This Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.0/1.1 vulnerability applies to Autodesk software subscribers using certain older versions on Windows and Mac operating systems; versions 2018-2020 are not affected.

Please note that while the patch(es) are not required until August 3rd, it is highly recommended that customers install the patch as soon as possible

*Failing to apply these patches may result in interruptions of your software access and connectivity.

*When installing the TLS patch install with a profile that has full control Administrator privileges on the system

Why?
To align with industry best practices for security and data integrity, Autodesk Identity Services will move to Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 and stop supporting TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 on  August 3rd, 2019.

What is the solution?
We have been developing patches to prevent (or resolve) this issue. Subscribers using the software versions listed in this AKN article will need to download the appropriate License & Identity patch by August 3rd, 2019. These patches will support TLS 1.2 and above.

Which products are affected?
Note that not all products/versions will be releasing a patch for this issue. The products/versions not releasing a patch are noted in the AKN article.

How are we Communicating this to Customers?
Autodesk will send an email notification to affected customers on May 15th, 2019 & a follow up email regarding the change to the deadline for these patches.

What should a customer do if a patch is not available for their product version?
Customers should upgrade to a newer, supported version of the software.

Where can customers find a newer version of their product?
Customers may use their Autodesk Account or  Autodesk Virtual Agent (AVA) to download a newer, supported version.
