Transferring Licence

Hi,

Back in 2011 I purchased LT2012 for my office computer, then in 2012 I got an upgrade to LT2013. I have just purchased a second copy of LT, 2016 version, and want to transfer the licence for the older software to another office computer.

Can someone kindly advise if I have to install 2012 and then the upgrade on the new computer prior to running the Licence Transfer Utility?, or will LT2013 install from the upgrade disk alone?, many thanks.

Welcome to the Forums

Not to sure about that HOWEVER, if you have a little time to spare

Virtual Agent

You can download a full version of 2013 from there and use your licence to install on the other computer

Hi @Anonymous,

You won't need to install AutoCAD LT 2012 on the new computer.

If you already had AutoCAD LT 2013 on the old computer, then you can just install the 2013 version on the new computer and use the License Transfer Utility. As advised by @h_s_walker, you can download AutoCAD LT 2013 using the download links offered on our Virtual Agent. Please refer to these instructions:

Downloading Previous Versions of Autodesk Software Using the Virtual Agent

If you did not have AutoCAD LT 2013 on the old computer, you can also directly installl the 2013 version on the new computer (again, downloading the full product through the Virtual Agent), but you won't need to use the License Transfer Utility. You'll just need to enter the Serial Number & Product Key for your AutoCAD LT 2013 upgrade and perform an Online Activation.

Hope this helps.
