Text Window Problem

This is a rather strange issue that just began to occurr. First off, I am running ACAD LT 2010 on Win XP-64 bit. The issue I am having is that when I push F2 to open the text window, the window opens behind the ACAD window. That is to say, when I minimize the ACAD window I can view the text window. The strange part is that when I type 'textscr', the window opens properly in front of ACAD. Any ideas? I have basically lost functionality of my F2 button! help!

think outside the pre-programmed box perhaps, it might work: start with this
old tip that still works for another F button

Just create your own CUI command for TEXTSCR and use it.

I have the same problem as above, but TEXTSCR doesn't bring the window to the front.  It is sitting in my task bar, but when I click on it, it won't pop up.  The only way to view it is to minimise CAD, hover over the taskbar until the preview window pops up and click on the text window.  It doesn't do this all the time, so wondering what is triggering it.  A CAD restart fixes it temporarily, but wondering if there's a permanent fix.

You are responding to a an old post referencing an old version of AutoCAD/LT.

Which LT version and what Windows version are you using?

There is no longer a pop-up as in the older versions where you responded.

Docking the commandline, to match the old versions, may be what you are looking for? Also explore this from Autodesk http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-lt/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/Aut...

So this window that pops up (but stays behind the drawing window) when I press F2 doesn't exist?

That appears only if you dock or close your commandline: since you did not share this info, I assumed you stuck with the OOTB setup of a floating commandline. Is that the case? LT2016 and R2016 don't show that pop-up with my floating commandline.

Speak up: we can't see your screen 🙂

HELP explains the command window:
