Text Mask Issue - diagonal line appears when creating a PDF

Does anyone know why a diagonal line would appear when creating a PDF? See example attached. It does not appear during the print preview or when printing directly to a printer/plotter.

The mask text is drawn over an imported PDF town map.  Could that be the reason?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi Pendean,

Thanks for this info. The third bullet point worked - changing PDF options to "lines merge" but it changed the color from red to a dark red (see example attached).

Does anyone have any ideas about this correction? Thanks!

@isaacdarowe I suspect you'll need to test with other PDF drivers, and/or all the other "red" colors in AutoCAD to find one that pops the best visually, and/or perhaps assign heavier lineweights to your red lines (LWEIGHT command setting or a Plot Style Table assignment).

Great thanks, I will give that a try.
