Text From Table

I'm doing a table and when I type a set of number for some reason change to date format (1051016-0001 change to 11/1/2440)

Why this happens? How I fix it to read as a number not a a date format?

Like all spreadsheet programs like Excel etc., TABLE in AutoCAD also requires you to define your cell format ahead of time (or in your case, someone did that for you perhaps).

Select a cell, open PROPERTIES, under CELL TYPE, does it say TEXT or something else?

Is this a linked Table (to an Excel Spreadsheet) or a plain AutoCAD/LT you-set-it-up-from-scratch TABLE object?
