text editor problems

After I upgraded to Autocad LT 2019, I was dis-satisfied with the new text editor, so I tried unsuccessfully to revert to the old text editor. Now I am resigned to having to use the new text editor but cannot figure out how to access it. I even tried a re-install of Autocad. Can anyone give me guidance here?

I'm not sure what you are looking for, but if you click into Mtext to edit it and then right click on it. Near the bottom of the right click menu there is "editor settings" or something along those lines. That has some settings in there that might help you.

Hi @leemc85615

Here are articles on both the in-place editor as well as how to configure an alternate text editor.

In-Place Text Editor

Alternate Text Editor

To create a new piece of text you can select the Annotate tab on the Ribbon and then click on Multiline text on the left.

When you want to edit text, double-click it and the Text Editor should open on the ribbon.

Is this what you are having troubles locating/starting?
