Quick question: I am replacing my workstation. My guess is I just uninstall Autocad in the existing pc and reinstall the software into the new workstation. Is that the best or is there any better solution? I have a renewable subscription and I just want to keep one seat going forward.

No.
You install AutoCAD/LT on the new PC, get it up and running, transfer all of your content from old to new, make sure it is working 100%, then and only then do you remove AutoCAD/LT from your old computer.
Or do you like risking the chance of being dead in the water with no CAD program?
