>>The autodesk part of this content is from 2004 or older, but this is not so bad - the silly part is
and it contains the definition for metric files (acadiso.lin) and not for imperial units - what is acad.lin for.
It is still a nightmare to see such things (for me)
Well I use metric files. I might copy data from imperial units files though.
>>Is it a local folder or extern in your network?
It is on system disk in windows user documents folder (there is only one user on this pc with admin rights).
I tried to replace it in folder straight in disk root without any change.
>>Okay, but you don't know how many people have had trouble with your data
We use this set mainly because 90% of our technical subcontractors use it, so we need it, in order to view their files right. It is locally very common.
>>Q1: How do you start your program?
with default desktop shortcut leading to: Autodesk\AutoCAD LT 2023\acadlt.exe
>>Q2: Acad often get trouble with internal memory mangement, perhaps there are other issues too
App-Restart is a good move and depend of the file content and commands
can happen that you have to restart very often (most users never have a problem, but others are very badly affected)
Did you notice any other problems? Problems with the selection or with the ESC key?
Then this would be an indication.
With selection I run into trouble only e.g. when using MATCHPROP in viewport with display plot styles ON and run across big block, it jams for several moments (guess too much to compute), but no error in the end. I have not experienced any ESC key erroes yet.
>>The problem is clear, if the message appears - AutoCAD have no access to the
PLYN symbol from cadkon.shx
Means: No access to cadkon.shx OR access to the wrong cadkon.shx, which doesn't contain the PLYN symbol
Thanks for the clarification. I dont understand, why the file after running for some hours appears incorrect or without access. I havent find any specific moments that started the error yet.
