SNAPANG by picking a line

Hello,

Is there a command or a way to enter a SNAPANG angle by picking up a line (has odd angle) rather than entering an number?

Thank You.

That doesn't change the snap angle, that changes the UCS.

A quick non programming way would be to use the 'nea object snap and pick two points on the line after you execute the snapang prompt.

You could incorporate that into a menu macro also.

For a lisp routine to do this, see this.

Note that this isn't as simple as it seems in certain cases, hence the length of the code (start on post 16 in that thread)

When you use 'SNAPANG' it prompts you for an angle, but it will allow you to pick two points for the angle, at the prompt just click a point with your mouse and it will then prompt for a second point (you do need to turn ortho off first F8 and then back on after picking the second point for the 'SNAPANG' to work).
