'Settings transfer' when switching from monthly to yearly subscription

My AutoCAD LT 2019 is refusing to fully load.  It freezes at the opening screen.  I am currently on a monthly subscription and now may be a good time to switch to a yearly subscription.  My question is "Will my settings transfer to the yearly subscription or do I need to go thru that again.

Hi rstd04, and welcome to the community! 

I've consulted with some of our great technical support specialists, and they assured me that the settings for the program are stored in your user profile on your computer, and just changing the subscription type (NOT reinstalling the program, just the subscription type) won't reset your settings. Nothing should change on the software side at all - just on our backend side. 🙂

Just to clarify you would like to transfer your application settings, correct? 

There is a migration utility it is installed with AutoCAD. It runs automatically after installation. To run it at any time, it is next to AutoCAD in the Windows Start menu:

• Windows 10 and 8.1: Start > AutoCAD 20xx > Migrate From a Previous Release
• Windows 7 and XP: Start > All Programs > Autodesk > AutoCAD 20xx > Migrate Custom Settings > Migrate From a Previous Release

The migration utility migrates settings between two versions of the same AutoCAD product in the same language. Also, both versions must be installed currently on the same machine.

Because AutoCAD 2019 (monthly) was non-functional I decided to procede with loading AutoCAD 2020 (yearly subscription).  It went flawlessly and seemed to have picked up most of my settings . . enough to be comfortable with.  I tend to run AutoCAD without the command prompt now as it seems to not agree with the command sequences that I have in my mind.  I've been using AutoCAD since 1988 and kind of set in my ways.

Thank you Natasha,  I went ahead and loaded AutoCAD LT 2020 and all went fine.
