SCALING: Layout view needs to be the same scale as Model view. - HOW???

Hiya, 

I am trying to ensure that my layout viewport is set to the same scale as my model viewport: 1:1. 

Interestingly: 

- I have set my page layout for my layout viewport to be set for A3 landscape. 

- Inside the viewport is my floorplan, but in the image: it has a smaller scale unit. 

- When I change the viewport from 0.00003033303030 to 1:1 the viewport that is laid out on the A3 page is zoomed all the way in. 

- This makes me think that I may need to scale my floorplan in my model view-plan so that the floorplan comes out smaller in the layout floorplan. 

What are your thoughts? layout viewport.

Don’t scale the drawing in model but set the scale on the viewport in layout
