Scale Lists

I am using AutoCAD LT 2017.1 and until I had to reinstall AutoCAD around the same time update was issued, I had no issues at all regarding Scale Lists. Now however, I am unable to ADD any new scale to the Edit Drawing Scales dialog box. When I do click ADD, the top ribbon of the box goes grey and that's it.. to enable me to carry on, I then have to click ESC a couple of times, which loses the Edit box. I can however use EDIT in the same box, and as long as I have a scale listed I would not use, I can edit that scale to the scale I wanted to create as a new one. I have tried everything to sort this out, even reloading the .CUI files, and signing in and out 360 to see that there is no sync issues with previous versions of CAD.

Nothing seems to work. It is as if the screen freeze hits when I click on the ADD button... every other option within the EDIT DRAWING SCALE box works fine. I did try and select the custom scale from the side bar, but as soon as I touched the 'Calculator' the same screen freeze as using SCALELISTEDIT box.

Frustrating, but no doubt there will be a simple solution, even if it is proven I am doing something wrong.

If you want as a test you can also try creating a new windows user profiles.  For instance, if you log on as a different windows user, does the issue still happen?

Thank you for the reply, and suggestion regarding reverting back to the default setting. This I tried, and whilst it did enable me to ADD within the SCALE LIST dialog box, it was only temporary. As soon as I assigned my CUI settings again (which are highly important to me) the function to ADD was lost again. That would suggest an issue with the CUI set up which had not previously been an issue.

Further tinkering is required.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will look at this in due course. I do not have any other USERS set up currently but will create one. As you suggested this option, is this a known solution for other 'Issues' within AutoCAD?

>>>...As soon as I assigned my CUI settings again ...<<<
Explain what does that mean please, in detail: we can't see what youa re doing or your PC screen.

Basically, these are the settings I use to form the workspace, in the way that suits me. I have them set almost the same as earlier CAD versions, using toolbars as opposed to the panels in the later versions of CAD. Maybe once I get used to using panels, the issue will go away, if I reset CAD to the default, but it is finding the time to sit down and understand them.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Ah, so you are recreating the "Classic" workspace, correct?
Is this a from scratch creation from inside this LT version, or are you importing an existing classic-workspace from an older LT version?

Thanks for the reply. I originally created the 'Classic' workspace layout in LT2016 and saved it to my 360 cloud account. Then I recreated it from scratch again once I started using LT2017 (I thought it was time to make a few tweaks - but did not import the previous settings) However the settings that were functioning fully in LT2017, started playing up once the LT2017 1.1 update was installed. It was at this point, that the ability to ADD to the SCALE LIST was lost, but not the ability to EDIT within the same dialog box.

I am now trying to work my way towards fully using the PANELS seeing as this must have been someone's idea of progress.

Thanks again for your assistance, but I doubt I will ever fully get to the bottom of what the real issue is/was.

Let me bring this to a few of my colleagues. I'll check back with you.

Have you also left feedback on the product? You can do so here if you have not.
