S-DIM

Does anyone know what happen to dimension style? I got this "S-DIM" layer everytime I copy object from others it will appear "S-DIM" layer after tagging with dimension. S-DIM is not the dimension layer created by me. It will automatically goes to "S-DIM" layer for all the dimension. Anyone knows how to get rid of this? Or remove it from the program? Thanks

does LT have this variable called DIMLAYER that perhaps your drawing template has set your dimension layer for you?

Dimensions are not created on the current layer in AutoCAD (autodesk.com)

Thanks for the reply; the drawing was start from scratch. I didn't create any S-DIM in layer properties. Just noticed that when I copy object from previous project, my current drawing will appear S-DIM for dimension. Even though the previous project also dont have that S-DIM in layer properties. Just wonder will Autodesk can remove this function?

Curious when you start a new drawing and then draw a new dimension what layer does that new dimension end up on?

new drawing with new dimension start with "0" layer. but if I copy object from pervious project, the dimension will start with "S-DIM".

And that dimension copied from the old project…what was the layer it was on in that old project drawing?

My colleague just solved my problem! 🙂 She change the setting to this: Use Current; was S-DIM. So from there onwards my dimension will follow to which i selected.
