I recently purchased 2017LT. I've been using AutoCad for 18 years.
When I type "Options" and click the box "Shortcut menus in the drawing area" to activate the "Right-click Customization Box" (not sure why it's not always active)...?
Anyhow, I go in and click the circles (Under Default Mode, Edit Mode and Command Mode) "Repeat Last Command", "Repeat Last Command" and "ENTER"
I then "Apply" and "Ok" to close the Options pop-up box....
Then if I type "Options" again, none of my settings are saved. It reverts back to the "Shortcut Menu" default (for right click customization) which I can't stand.
None of these issues occurred until getting 2017LT.
Please help.
Hi,
Maybe you try first to reset it to default settings. Please see the link below
Hope this will help 🙂
I'll give it a shot.
If I re-set to Default, does this mean all of my template paths etc and other little things I set-up with be broken/disengaged? I'm in the middle of a big project and I really don't want to be back at square one as far as set-up is concerned.
Let me know, thanks.
Jeff
Ok.
Here's a question.
How do I back up my customizations in 2017LT on Windows 10?
I know how to do it on older versions, but the newer stuff is different....and I'm not finding much from online searches.
Thanks much.
JP
For WIN 10 you can use this video as a help reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYZ215Ref48
Once you are able to locate your AutoCAD LT folder you should be able to see the option to export your settings.
If you continue to run into issue with saving your settings post back with an update
I plan to update to 2018LT shortly. This may fix the issue.
Otherwise, I haven't had time to mess with it due to my 70 hour work weeks lately. Once I get some calm, I'll look into it more and refer back to all the great recommendations....if needed, after the 2018 upgrade.
HI @Anonymous,
Did any of the posts in the thread help with the issue?
