Raster images not showing in export

Hi,

Maybe this problem has been posted earlier, but i can't find it so i post it nontheless.

We're having problems with exporting/printing raster images, mostly earial-images.

This raster images aren't showing up, but the problem happens at random and on different pc's/platforms.

Has this kind of problem been posted/fixed in the past and can someone tell me how to fix this?

We are running AutoCAD 2011 LT on windows XP and windows 7 x64 platforms.

Hope anyone can help!

Not enough information... . Also, there is no fix for 'random', only fixes for consistent repeatable problems usually.

So:
1. Check to ensure the images are not on NO PLOT layers.
2. What are you "printing" to?
3. What are you "exporting" to? Using what method and options?
4. Aerials are huge and may be overwhelming the driver/output format you are aiming for: as a test, print/plot to a very small sheet size like letter-szie and see if the problem remains.

Ok, tnx for the reply.

Your questions (tested on an A2- and A4-plot):

1. The images are not on NO PLOT layers

2. Printing to a normal printer works, to a pdf-printer doesn't (Adobe Acrobat 6 and 11, CutePDF and Foxit). Only printing to PaperlessPrinter works, but this printer can only print A3 - A6, not A2 and A1.

3. Exporting to PDF, through the 'A-button' -> export -> pdf-file (doesn't show aerials in exported pdf).

4. Our aerials are quite small, about 2 - 5 mb in size (mostly jpg).

We also tried shorter pathnames to the image (for example C:\aerial.jpg), but this won't help either.

By the way, every other vector-graphic is showing in the pdf's, only raster images won't show.

Sounds like the only problem you have is output to PDF: while I've never experienced it you seem to only be describing a limitation found on that Adobe format. There is no AutoCAD fix.

I know you chose to "export" to PDF but since all AutoCAD does is plot to the format, have you tried to actually PLOT using the DWG TO PDF built in driver? This will allow you to match your paper output and give you an opportunity to edit the PC3 file as well.

Yeah, printing to pdf is the problem.

You solution with the built-in DWG TO PDF.pc3 worked like a charm!

Thanx! I'll now delete all the other useless pdf-printers 🙂

Same problem.. this solution (dwg to pdf) also worked for me. Thanks
