I'm using AutoCAD LT 2015 on a PC at work. Twice, I have reopened a .dwg file that I worked on the day before and non of my edits were saved. When it happened the first time, I made a concerted effort to use the save command. Since then, it has been fine until today. I know AutoSave is active and that I am continuing to use the save command just in case. Today, my edits are gone and I need to start over. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous,
Are you saving locally or to a network?
Are you manually saving as well as you are making edits? at the keyboard (CTRL + S) and you are still not seeing your edits?
Hi @Anonymous,
Just circling back on this thread. Were you able to try any of the suggestions?
I have also provided the AKN article that explains in further detail the process of Understanding AutoCAD backup and autosave files.

I have the same problem. but I did not work from the network. I saved the file to a local drive and work from there. Any suggestion?
thanks,
James

When you checked the BAK file no new edits were saved? Manually saving?
Has this happened with a few files or just specific ones?
If you clear your temp file, save file locally, manually save (Ctrl+S) and then apply edits nothing is saved? Is it random (i.e every couple of months) or is it a consistent issue (every day or weekly basis)?
Not all the time, it only happened twice with different files. Manually saved the files left for the day and came back next day, opened it and nothing is being saved. But the preview of the file showed the work. Very strange.
