Publishing Problem

Is there a setting in AutoCAD that remembers the most recent save location? When some of our drafters publish drawings to either DWF or PDF, their computer automatically goes to the last specific save location; whereas, other drafters are taken to a default location and have to manually navigate to the specific folder.

This only seems to be an issue with the PUBLISH command, not the SAVE command.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

I wonder if you are talking about REMEMBERFOLDERS variable (explained in Help: otherwise if a user selects he PDF or DWF output option in PUBLISH the location must be set in the PUBLISH OPTIONS button's 'location' area before continuing.

I'm having the same problem. AutoCAD is not remembering the last folder I published to so I have to find the folder I'm working in every time I publish. What settings do I need to change so that AutoCAD remembers the last folder location I published to?

Does this settings method not work for you? Or are you talking about something else

I work in different job folders throughout the day at work so changing my settings to one default folder doesn't help. AutoCAD used to remember the last folder I published to. After getting a new computer now once I hit "Publish", a "Specify PDF File" comes up as usual but it directs me to the same folder I have the default setting to. I don't want to go back to the same default folder. I want it to remember what folder I last published in like it used to do. Is there a way to turn off the default folder setting so it goes to the last folder I published in instead?

Looks like yours got hardcoded to your MY DOCUMENTS folder at some point: my experience has been once that is done it loses the ability to be dynamic again.

This "problem" also shows up in ETRANSMIT and WBLOCK commands.

There might be a Windows Registry entry for it judging by it's behavior, but I'm not one to usually edit that. Others may have ideas, let's see who chimes in.
